Columbus, Ohio - Element Power's Ty Daul, CEO North America, participated on a panel at the conference, as the lone representative of the wind and solar industry. His remarks focused largely on the state of the Ohio renewable market, how much investment and jobs the industry has created for Ohio, and how the State can take important steps to improve the market and regulatory environment to promote future growth. Specifically Mr. Daul discussed the importance of a streamlined permitting process and the need for long-term power purchase agreements. The energy summit, held on the campus of Ohio State University, brought together nearly 40 speakers from utilities, environmentalists and the oil and gas industry, who discussed, debated and, in the case of the electric utilities, sparred about energy issues.
