Fraser Welham joined the Element Power Board in October 2009. He has 18 years experience in the waste management sector including significant involvement in the generation of renewable energy from waste. Prior to joining Element Power, Fraser was Group Finance Director of London Stock Exchange listed Shanks Group plc, one of Europe’s largest independent waste management companies. He started at Shanks in 1995, was appointed Finance Director of the then recently acquired Belgian operations in 1998 and admitted to the Group Board as Group Finance Director in 2005. Fraser qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in London after gaining a First Class Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering at Kings College, University of London. After completing his accountancy training with Price Waterhouse, Fraser spent three years at Attwooods plc, a listed international waste management company.
