Juan Ramón Guzmán is a founding member of Element Power also a co-founder of Helium Energy, the precursor of Element Power in Europe. He has worked in the energy industry since 1997, establishing the renewable business arm of ACS Group, a leading Spanish construction company. Juan Ramón joined Iberdrola in 2000 as International Business Director, responsible for the development of the company in Latin America. Under his management the company built more than 5,000 MW in gas combined cycle power plants. In 2005 he joined Iberdrola Renovables as International Business Director, responsible for international expansion throughout Europe and China as well as the first US acquisitions, developing or acquiring thousands of MW of generation projects. Juan Ramón holds a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Autonomous University of Madrid.
