Juan Ramón Guzmán is one of the founding members of Element Power and is the Managing Director for Europe, Middle East and Latin America. Juan Ramón was one of the cofounders of Helium Energy, the precursor of Element Power in Europe. He has worked in the energy industry since 1997, beginning the renewable business arm of ACS Group, a leading Spanish construction company. Juan Ramón joined Iberdrola in 2000 as International Business Director, responsible for the development of the company in Latin America. Under his management the company built more than 5,000 MW in gas combined cycle power plants. In 2005 he joined Iberdrola Renewable as International Business Director, in charge of international expansion throughout Europe and China and Iberdrola’s first USA acquisitions, developing or acquiring thousands of MW of generation projects. Juan Ramón received a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Autonomous University of Madrid.
